Brunch at Edmonds Villa
Good food. Great company. A chance to see what makes Edmonds Villa special — no pressure, no obligation. Just a warm welcome and a seat at the table.
There's More Than One Reason
to Join Us
See the Home Without the Formality
A scheduled tour can feel like an interview. The brunch is the opposite — a relaxed, open-house format where you can wander, observe, and chat naturally. You'll see the home as it is every day, with residents living their normal routines and staff providing genuine care, not a rehearsed presentation.
Meet the Team in Person
Sandra Namwase, RN, and the Edmonds Villa care team will be there, cooking and serving alongside guests. You'll get real, unfiltered answers to your questions — about medical capabilities, daily life, staffing, costs, and anything else on your mind.
Experience the Atmosphere
You can read a website and look at photos, but nothing replaces being inside the home. The brunch gives you a feel for the energy, the warmth, and the quality of life at Edmonds Villa that no brochure can capture.
Connect With Your Community
For community leaders — real estate agents, elder law attorneys, financial planners, discharge planners, senior advocates — the brunch is your chance to see the facility firsthand so you can refer families with confidence. It's also a genuinely enjoyable way to spend a Saturday morning.
You're Researching Care
for Your Parent. Start Here.
If you're reading this, you're probably in the middle of one of the hardest searches a family can go through. You want your parent to be safe, comfortable, and treated with dignity. You also need to trust the people who will care for them.
Low-Pressure Introduction
No obligation, no hard sell. Come eat, look around, and see if it feels right. You'll leave knowing more than any website could tell you.
Bring Your Parent Along
Let them experience the home firsthand. They can meet current residents, see a room, and decide how they feel about the environment — often the most important factor in a successful transition.
Get Straight Answers
Ask about our high-acuity capabilities — dialysis, tube feeding, bariatric care, neurological conditions. This isn't a generic facility. We specialize in complex care that most adult family homes can't provide.
Edmonds Villa is a private-pay, high-acuity adult family home — we provide a level of skilled nursing care that goes well beyond what assisted living or standard AFHs can offer, in a 6-bed home setting. If your parent has complex medical needs, this brunch is the easiest way to find out if we're the right fit.
Know a Family Looking for Care?
Come See Why We Refer.
If you work with seniors or their families — as a real estate agent, attorney, financial planner, discharge planner, or senior advocate — knowing the local care options inside and out is part of your value. The brunch is your chance to experience Edmonds Villa firsthand.
Why Professionals Attend
- Know what you're referring to. You can describe the facility, the staff, and the atmosphere from personal experience — not from a website.
- Build a relationship. Meet Sandra and the team directly. When you have a client with a specific need, you'll know exactly who to call and what they can handle.
- Understand the capability. Edmonds Villa handles bariatric care, peritoneal dialysis, enteral feeding, neurological disorders, and other high-acuity conditions that most AFHs cannot accommodate. Knowing this means you can match the right families to the right setting.
- Network with other professionals. Other attorneys, agents, and advisors attend too. It's a genuine community gathering, not a sales event.
Who Should Come
- Elder law and estate planning attorneys
- Real estate agents working with downsizing seniors
- Financial planners and wealth advisors
- Hospital and skilled nursing discharge planners
- Senior center coordinators and aging services professionals
- Pastors, church leaders, and community organizers
- Anyone who regularly fields the question, "Do you know a good place for my mom?"

A Typical Brunch at Edmonds Villa
Here's how the morning goes — so you know exactly what you're walking into.
The Flow of the Morning
Arrive. Park in the driveway or on the street. No reserved parking, no valet — it's a home, not a hotel. Come in through the front door.
Grab a plate. The buffet line runs through the kitchen and dining area. Help yourself — the food is set out family-style. Coffee, tea, and juice are ready when you are.
Eat and talk. Sit anywhere. You'll find yourself at a table with residents, staff, and other guests. The conversation is whatever you make it — light and social, or focused on care questions. No one will corner you with a sales pitch.
Tour if you'd like. After you've eaten, or before, or during — someone on the team is always available to show you around. See the resident rooms, the common areas, the backyard, the equipment. Take your time.
Ask anything. Wondering about cost, staffing ratios, medical capabilities, how meals work, what happens in an emergency? Ask. We answer honestly and directly.
Leave when you're ready. Some stay the full two hours. Others drop in for 30 minutes and head out. No one clocks you.
What's on the Menu
Each brunch features a rotating menu of home-cooked favorites. Think of a good weekend brunch at a friend's house:
- Hot pancakes with butter and syrup
- A savory protein dish — grilled chicken, goat meat and rice, or a hearty option
- Fresh seasonal fruit platter
- Yogurt and granola bar with toppings
- Freshly brewed coffee, tea, and orange juice
We accommodate dietary restrictions — let us know when you RSVP.
A note on the food: Everything is prepared in our home kitchen by Sandra and the Edmonds Villa team. This isn't catered. It's made with care, just like we cook for our residents every day.
Everything You Need to Know
Before You Come
Do I need to RSVP for the brunch?
Yes, please RSVP so we can plan for enough food. Text us at or email edmondsvilla@gmail.com to let us know you're coming and how many guests to expect. Walk-ins welcome if there's room.
Can I tour the facility during the brunch?
Absolutely. In fact, that's one of the main reasons people come. You can tour the entire home, see the resident rooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces, and ask any questions you have about our care approach — all without the pressure of a formal appointment.
Is the brunch just for people looking for a facility?
Not at all. The brunch is open to anyone in the Edmonds community. Many of our guests are neighbors, local professionals (real estate agents, financial planners, elder law attorneys), and community leaders who want to stay connected. It's a genuinely social event.
Will residents be present during the brunch?
Yes. Residents are welcome to participate as they're able and interested. It's a great opportunity to see the day-to-day atmosphere of Edmonds Villa and how our staff interacts with residents in a natural, social setting.

No, the brunch is complimentary. We host it as a way to open our doors to the community — no obligation, no sales pitch. Just good food and a chance to get to know us.

A full brunch spread with both hot and cold options — typically pancakes, a hot protein dish, fresh fruit, yogurt and granola, pastries, coffee, tea, and juice. We accommodate dietary restrictions when we know about them in advance.
Can I bring my parent or loved one to see the home?
Absolutely. The brunch is a perfect low-stakes introduction for both you and your loved one. They can see the home, meet the staff, and get a feel for the environment before making any decisions.
